Tamar Najarian was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. She moved in June 2013 after falling in love with the country during her 2011 Birthright volunteer months. She has always been a fan of helping local businesses thrive by buying Made In Armenia products as much as she can. In 2016, she had her first child and realized that those who visited had no idea what types of gifts to bring. In Canada, every hospital has a gift shop full of different types of items at differing price points. She decided that Made in Armenia gift baskets would be great to have, particularly since there are so many individuals who sew and crochet from home. The ideas are endless and the sky is the limit when it comes to what kind of gift can be put together. That's when the idea for Nviri.am was born. As of 2017, it only exists on Instagram and Facebook. The name was made so that it is not just baskets one can buy but gifts in general. You name the event and she'll come up with a great composition for you. Currently, the focus is on baby baskets, particularly for newborns and the first visit after 40 days have passed. From each toy to each piece of clothing, down to the baskets and gift boxes themselves, Tamar has ensured that everything is made in Armenia, either handmade and manufactured. Buying from Tamar means helping the local economy thrive. Her focus is on pushing the micro businesses forward; most of the products in the gift sets are tagged by their producers so that you can find them yourself as well. Tamar plans on expanding the selection to include Christmas/New Year, New Mother, New Bride, Honeymoon, Get Well Soon, Christening, Valentine's, Easter and general holiday gifts. Follow her work and tag your purchases with #ՆվիրենքՀայկականը.
